Kindness is stalking the globe
Bio Conservation Society (BCSL) was founded in March 2012 and registered as an NGO in May 2013 in Sri Lanka. So far the organization conducted several awareness programs and educational exhibitions on sea turtle and coastal biodiversity conservation in the eastern, southern-western, and northwestern provinces of Sri Lanka specially targeting fishermen and all the fishing community members including school kids.
Beach surveys were conducted to estimate sea turtle nesting. Rescue and release of by-catch sea turtles and fishermen attitudinal survey on coastal biodiversity conservation was conducted. Currently, awareness programs and awareness workshops conducting for the fisheries community on the northwestern coast of Sri Lanka on sea turtle and coastal biodiversity conservation.
