Mangrove ecosystem is unique and plays key role when considering coastal biodiversity. But, during last few decades mangrove forest coverage in Sri Lanka rapidly decreased due to human activities.  The BCSL was identified that field activities such as mangrove re-planting more interested and more useful for the coastal community.  So we have conducted mangrove re-plantation programme at Kadakuliya fishing village in Kalpitiya with the support from the Sindharthimatha women welfare society and school kids.  While conducting these field activities the message were given to the community to conservation of sea turtles and coastal biodiversity
